Hi Siri, it's always been a bit of challenge for me to describe Indian (specially Kannada) spices to friends when I'm talking about recipes. I've also been curious when I look at recipes from other cuisines on how to correlate with my knowledge of spices, having grown up in a Kannadiga household, this page makes it really easy.
